SOIT Framework
The framework documentation for building, executing, observing, and governing agent systems with SOIT.
SOIT is a governed agent runtime and governance platform for teams that need AI agents to operate against real enterprise systems with clear control boundaries. It is open-source, self-hostable with a single Docker Compose command, and model-neutral.
The Framework documentation is organized around two entry points:
- Core explains the platform philosophy: Build, Execute, Observe, and Govern.
- Capabilities explains the concrete SOIT modules: agents, workflows, knowledge, models, plugins, runtime traces, identity, and security.
Use Getting Started to run SOIT locally, then move into Core and Capabilities to understand how the platform fits together.
What SOIT provides
- A spec-first model for agents, workflows, tools, knowledge, plugins, and runtime traces.
- A governed execution path where every external capability flows through policy-aware ports and adapters.
- A unified runtime ledger for runs, tasks, steps, artifacts, costs, traces, and replay evidence.
- Workspace-scoped governance for identity, permissions, secrets, egress, audit, and versioned releases.
- An OpenAI-compatible gateway and an MCP server, so code and MCP clients outside SOIT get the same governed, costed, audited path.
Why teams choose SOIT
- Agents you can put in front of real systems. Deny-by-default egress, secret references instead of plaintext, and audit evidence on every governed call.
- Executions you can explain. Every run records the exact published version it executed and leaves a replayable step-by-step trace.
- Releases you can trust. Immutable versions, append-only release ledgers, and regression evaluation as a publish gate.
- A stack you control. Self-hosted on PostgreSQL, Redis, Milvus, MinIO, and Vault, with OpenAI, OpenAI-compatible, DeepSeek, and Anthropic model paths.
